Burger King Tacos

I have dreamed of an edible era in the history of this country where there would be some type of taco available on every street corner, from every fast food chain, and on every dollar menu for as long as I have been a Latino – 40 years and counting. This straightforward dream is now one step closer to realization due to Burger King.

Aside from the typical taco chains in town like Taco Bell or Del Taco, I’d have to admit that my favorite taco option is Jack in the Box’s two greasy corn shells filled with meat and cheese for a little over a dollar. It’s a great deal for the taste and price, especially when there isn’t a nearby convenient taqueria.

Having said that, I do think Jack has finally found his snack match in Burger King’s tremendous Crunchy Tacos. With each equally greasy corn shell – that’s from the deep-frying, ya’ll – dripping with puro faux-Mexican flavor, the additions of a small dash of lettuce and a sprinkle of cheese, as well as a nicely proportioned glob of seasoned beef that, remarkably, doesn’t taste like ground up leftover

I was eating the crispy taco in the lone Burger King when I observed that it wasn’t at all rubbery like Jack’s tacos frequently become, especially when they are first taken out of the deep fryer. The King’s, on the other hand, keeps up a steadfast bite-path that never interferes with the deliciously fatty taste, which is far better than it sounds. These taste a lot like the tacos your friend’s mom used to prepare when you stayed the night as a child—they are as artificial as Hell but as good as Heaven.

If I had one criticism, it would be over the complete absence of taco salsa and taco sauce, which were meant to be included with my order along with a few packets of taco sauce. If you ask me, that’s like having fries without ketchup. So, if you order a pair of these tacos, or even more, of course, ask for extra sauce or, as I’ll start doing, just bring your own.

What are Burger King Tacos made of?

Burger King’s Crispy Tacos are made with seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, and lettuce, all wrapped in a crispy tortilla shell. They also come with a savory taco sauce for added flavor.

Are Burger King Tacos suitable for vegetarians?

No, Burger King’s Crispy Tacos contain seasoned beef as their main ingredient, so they are not suitable for vegetarians. If you’re looking for a vegetarian option at Burger King, you may consider their Veggie Burger or other plant-based alternatives if available.

Do Burger King Tacos contain any allergens?

Yes, Burger King’s Crispy Tacos contain allergens such as wheat (from the tortilla shell) and dairy (from the shredded cheddar cheese). They may also contain soy, depending on the specific taco sauce used. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, it’s essential to check the restaurant’s allergen information or ask a staff member for assistance.
